What should you know before signing up?

If making images is the main attraction, start here: Promptchan pairs creation tools and a community gallery with character chat. Compare the tools included in each plan, not just the Gems. Custom characters and video options can depend on your tier.

Is Promptchan mainly for creation or companionship?

Both appear in the current product. Promptchan’s chat page describes conventional back-and-forth messages, a story mode and character customization. The creation page describes image tools and image-to-video or text-to-video workflows. Which side matters more depends on your intended use.

For a creation-led buyer, controls and iteration may matter more than a persistent companion. For a conversation-led buyer, the opposite can be true. We have not measured how well characters maintain context, so the existence of a chat feature is not a claim that it performs better than a specialist companion.

What changes between the paid tiers?

The public table lists Plus, Premium and Pro with different monthly Gem allowances and feature access. Pro is where custom characters and the fuller video toolset are advertised. Buying more currency on another tier should not be assumed to unlock a tool reserved for Pro.

The plan page’s unlimited wording applies to casual generations, alongside a separate included Gem allowance. Read it narrowly. Before choosing a tier, list the two or three actions you want most and verify that each is both available and affordable. Published list prices are a starting point; the renewal price and billing period at checkout are the purchase conditions to save.

What is useful about the gallery workflow?

Promptchan describes a public feed where shared creations can expose their prompts and settings and be loaded into the generator. That can reduce the guesswork involved in starting from a blank prompt. It is a workflow benefit, not proof that every visible example is achievable with the cheapest plan.

Public examples are selected content, not a controlled performance test. Before paying for higher quality or a larger allowance, check the settings used in the example, the tool access required, and whether the result suits your own goal. We do not reproduce the gallery’s adult media on this comparison site.

Can you keep generations private?

The creation documentation says paid plans offer private generation, keeping creations out of the public feed. Check that setting rather than assuming that everything created from an account is automatically private. Audience visibility and the platform’s own processing of data are separate questions.

The plan page says subscriptions can be cancelled from account settings with access continuing for the paid period. Verify your current terms and any separate Gem purchase conditions before subscribing. We have not tested cancellation or audited data deletion. The attraction here is documented creative flexibility, with those evidence limits kept in view.
